Classification of inclusions by time of entrapment, relative to the host crystal
The terms traditionally used for classification of inclusions based on their time of entrapment with regards to the host crystal formation are different for solid and fluid inclusions. In the table below, the classification for both types of inclusions is presented, with links to their detailed descriptions for further information. The schematic figure below is also explained in corresponding sections.
